SPEEDWAY AT ARLINGTON THIS SATURDAY
Eastbourne Speedway have added an extra meeting to their fixture list and will ride at home on Saturday (May 19).
The Forman IT Eagles will take on an IT First Eagles septet in a challenge match which effectively pits the present team against riders who have represented the club in the past.
Racing will begin, as usual, at 7.30pm.
This fixture was due to take place earlier in the season but was rained off. It was first scheduled to run last October but the club ran out of time to put the match on because of Eagles' run to the KO Cup and Play Off finals.
Eagles' director Connor Dugard said: "This is going to be a huge test for the current team.
"The 'visitors' have three strong heat leaders in Josh Bailey, Danyon Hume and Ben Hopwood and their No 4 Ryan Terry-Daley was on fire for Plymouth at Kent on Monday night."
Danyon Hume now takes place of Alfie Bowtell.
Forman IT Eagles: Mark Baseby, Kelsey Dugard, Tom Brennan, Charley Powell, Georgie Wood, Jason Edwards, Charlie Brooks.
IT First Eagles: Josh Bailey, Danno Verge, Danyon Hume, Ryan Terry-Daley, Ben Hopwood, Jamie Bursill, Nick Laurence.
*On Sunday, Eastbourne go to Mildenhall for a National Trophy southern group match.
The home side are at present in control of the section and the Eagles need a win to throw open the chase for top spot in the mini league.
*On Thursday (May 17) Eastbourne's Tom Brennan (aged 16) and Jason Edwards (15) ride in the British U-19 final at Ipswich.
